Shamanic and Energy Practitioner
Hello and welcome to Bontoc Ancestor Medicine. My name is Loren and I am a medicine woman.
I grew up as a Navy brat and have lived in the PNW for the past 45 years. I have a BA in political science from the University of Washington. I have worked in corporate America for almost thirty years in IT and various project management offices, working as a Sr. Business Systems Analyst and Sr. Project Manager.
My spiritual gifts were passed to me via my maternal line. I have been seeing and interacting with spirit since I was a child. My ancestors the Bontocs, are indigenous peoples of the Philippines. The Bontoc Shamans, (known as Babaylans), helped their people and communities using spiritual healing and divination practices. The shamanic healing techniques I use, are based on Core Shamanism, which I learned from the Foundation of Shamanic Studies. With those core principles, I have been working with my spirit allies and ancestors to refine my own personal practice, incorporating both energy healing and shamanism into my work.
I came to Shamanism and Reiki as a way to understand and to express the medicine that I was born with. I am also a certified yoga instructor and reiki practitioner. I practice Hilot, which is an ancient Filipino shamanic healing art. I perform Hilot in it's original form by also working with spirit to heal the client. I may use Reiki Hilot, Yoga or a combination of all three to help prepare the client to receive other Shamanic Healings such as soul retrieval.
My hopes and goals for my clients, are to help bring them back to their essential selves; to help them to discover their purpose and stand in their own self-empowerment, so they can begin living with more joy and authenticity.
